Woodlands veterinary practice in Ivybridge near Plymouth needed more space and modernisation to their existing premises. We were able to work closely with the team at Woodlands to design a new layout and utilise the space of an extension to best suit their needs. 

A single story extension was designed and built at the rear of the building, this was fully colour rendered and contained a hip roof. Within the roof space we stored the newly installed mechanical ventilation system and storage. This design meant that space at ground level was maximised for use by the veterinary team.

In the original part of the building we completely remodelled the layout and design to better suit the needs of the business. This included a new custom built reception counter and waiting area that better suited the client’s customer’s needs, new specialised rooms for observation, animal living areas and and treatment rooms. Due to the nature of the clients business we used specialist hygiene grade suspended ceilings, cabinets and workstations throughout along with contract vinyl to all floor areas. We also completed a full rewire and of power and data circuits to better keep up with the clients business needs.  

The clients business needed to continue operating whilst we were completing the build, for this we provided temporary working areas on site. This allowed the clients customers to continue using the practice with as little disruption as possible. 

The client was very happy with the results, as were we. The new design is modern, light and welcoming and gives the practice a more usable space to operate. Along with our network of trusted tradespeople we completed this build on time and within budget.
